17' Series Outdoor shower and hws

Hi all, we have ordered the 17.56.1 and have got a hws and outdoor shower, incase we decide to go off-road. Should we have ordered a battery for power also or does the van come with one?

Is your van an outback? If it is then it comes with a battery and solar as standard.

My understanding is that the hws needs a 12v supply to light the pilot. You would also need 12v to run the water pump if not on mains pressure

Agree with Relgate, if you want to free camp you will need a battery. I would check with the dealer if a battery is included, if not you are going to need one. Also consider some solar if you think you may be free camping for lengths of time

Yep we needed one rang first thing this morning, won't go solar at this stage but we are covered incase we have a night here or there

We have an Anderson plug on outside of van and portable panels. The plug was installed before pick up.
