our Penguin had its third birthday last week.
Here is some information on usage and costs for each of the three years: Note that costs do not include car or fuel costs

Thats interesting @mikerezny , I might dig out my old trip logs and see what my figures were, though lately the recording of data has been severly curtailed due to laziness .

Well my record keeping was worse than i thought while I keep accurate fuel figures, I can go back to 1971 actually, the spending whilst touring is ,well slack except for one trip of 71 days I burnt up $1483.91 of fuel, 6700kms and spent $5,183.13 on the trip, very little in camping fees but planes, steam trains and the odd bakery got a donation ......the story line in the diary is good though, I think I thought since I put everything on the Visa the accounts will hold the spending info....... I do know we try to run around the $400 to $600 a week spend but then we sit doggo by a River/ Creek/ Dam not belting down the road every day and a stop to visit kids in Canberra usually requires a nice long recovery at some off grid spot for the wallet to recover from the fee's.......... All in all I now prefer not to look.
