Location: Near Thallon and St George,160 kilometres west of Goondiwindi, 45 kilometres east of St George and approximately 70 kilometres north of the Queensland/New South Wales border. It is situated on the banks of the Moonie River.

Info: Free Camp on the banks of the Moonie River, next to the Nindigully Pub......Council sanctioned location.
Fires okay but bring your own wood, don't scab around the camp for timber.

Pets: Yes, but must be on leash,

Pool: No but could swim in the river...

Cabins: No but rooms are available at the Pub.

WiFi: No

Mobile/TV: Yes Telstra need Blue Tick phone good 3G.......No TV.

Facitities: New toilet block, dump point. BYO drinking water. Showers available at Pub for a Gold coin donation to the RFDS. Great meals available at Pub.

Comments: Get there early to get a good spot, if it looks like rain stay on the hard ground as will get stuck otherwise but they have a tractor to drag you out. Fishing and yabbies are plentifull.
Just the best tucker at the Pub.
Not to be missed camp.

They have a couple of reasonably sized burgers starting at the Road Train Burger which will feed a family of 6 for at least a week and a steak Sandwich with bread at least 25mm thick with a big slab of cow and a shovel full of chips. Fantastic tucker and nice cold beer.

(Psssst. Remember the plan ??? Theres a bit of a heat wave tonight around Nindigully, around 4deg, so wait till tomorrow night before you mention that diesel heater again. It'll be 2deg tomorrow night ... perfect diesel heater negotiation weather. Maybe open a window just to be on the safe side )

Yeah it's a great free camp spot.. Money we saved on site costs we went & had one of those road train burgers.. Our family of 5 couldn't finish it !! You'll remember it forever..

yep top spot but we didnt get to stay there last time, due our travel buddies other half objecting for some lame reason. Definately will be next time we are in that neck of the woods
