Well after 81,000km’s on my 2015 Colorado LTZ l traded it on a new Z71. Have run it in nicely, fitted the HR towpack with towpro elite and am about to test it out towing the 18.57 upto Briz this week. The factory fitted auto transmission temp gauge and tire pressure monitors while on the fly are a great addition that will prove useful for such a long haul. Once l return in eight weeks the truck will get a mild lift and a set of 20’s with a bit of offset and some flares.
Funnily enough, l had a new engine in the other put in under warranty at 39,000 and it had a mild Walky ECU remap and this new one seems so much quicker. Electric power steering great addition but the seem less transmission now has turned it into a great daily driver. Will see how she tows next weekend. 2FA1DB65-08A3-48E3-B9BA-3B7A1B56BC67.jpeg

We have the LTZ MY18, have had to regenerate the DPF 3 times in 8000Km. Took about 10 minutes, it is a PIA but only occurrs after a lot of really short
running around trips

Well we arrived on Sat morning
Into South Brisbane. New truck ran like a dream with the heated seats leaving Melb in 8 degree weather and arriving into the Sunshine state to a glorious 23. Truck pulled an average of 14.3 litres per 100km smashing along at 110kph most of the time. Old LTZ used to average 15.8 at similar speeds even with the Walkinshaw ECU done. Was thinking of doing this one but the power delivery and economy on this makes it hard to molest.
Now the wife has said let’s buy a new van while we are up here! Kids never come
Out with us anymore making the double bed end expanda and club lounge to bed conversion of no use.

Well it invokes finding s Starcraft or journey 19.61TL with the two bunks and either trying to sell this while up here or having a decent trade in. We were going to do it before we left. On a newie by Page brothers indicated a 5 month wait.

we are looking at a Journey 19' but can't justify the expense, 2 options 1. buy a second hand Starcraft have seen them under 59K option 2. wait till a second hand Journey hits the market, I recon after christmas there might be a couple.
Trade in = dirty word, my neighbour sellls caravans and offered a retired couple 40K for their year old Silverline with 2 slide outs, we will have a go at selling privately as we are in no rush, good luck shopping I know Bubdaberg Jayco had a couple of various Journey's there a couple of weeks ago, not shur how far you are travelling into god's country?

Well back home to Melb, after 7600km's and living out of the van for 8 weeks. Truck averaged 14.3lp hundred km's up and back sitting on 110kph most of the way. Time for new wheels and tyres to give it a sportier look. Can't praise the Z71 enough, it is so much truck for the money and just does everything really well.
