Great list. Our van had the tanks full when we picked it up from the factory.
I also remember a list was on here but cannot remember who posted it

i went through my list I grabbed from other peoples lists for both vans and missed things

We felt a lot more rushed picking up the 22.68 for some reason.. Did not check drop down jacks for both with the 22.68 one did not drop down :)
So I would add that. We had cupboards for the 22.68 not close right after our first drive for 3kms so what do you do :)

What I used I gather others can add to it

1 Check all Extras are there
2 Check for any screws sticking out
3 open and close roof and awnings yourself
4 take notes and ask how to setup..
5 Check all doors (hinges and latches) including hatches and cupboards.
6 Check inside all storage areas (take a small LED torch with you so you can see inside.)
7 Check for correct functioning of all taps and drainage.
8 connect up mains water
9 check 12v pump
10 Check all lights and power points 12v & mains.
11 Check gas operation...stove, HWS, etc.
12 Carefully go around body
13 check wiring underneath not hanging down.
14 Check TV aerial by bringing a TV if one not included.
15 Check Drop down legs work

The last two as we found them broken when we left :)

I'd added a few as well but can't find where...

So...from our experience.

  • Check fridge operation on both 240 and gas. (Ours was running on gas on handover and 240 had been checked but plug had been disconnected to instal safe. Couldn't work out why it wouldn't work on 240 and it took days to find the hidden plug had been disconnected.)
  • Check all overhead cupboards for loose screws...they fall out if the arm thingy is too tight
  • Understand how the gauges ...solar, Drifta etc ....actually work
  • Check for alternative service accredited places if the dealer is too far away for convenience
  • Check location of fuses etc and operation of Setec unit..how often to recharge on 240 if van not used etc
  • Check bed end close operation for tightness
  • Check pop top for alignment of latches...often better if one end lifted / lowered first
  • Check operation of hot water system on both gas and 240
  • Check plated weights to confirm you are within vehicle parameters
I'll add more if I think of them

Keep the idea's coming - loving it.

Apparently it's about a 2hour handover when you pick the van up and they run through everything including a test tow with your car. Very keen to make sure it's right ;-) (or as right as it can be)
