Hi all.

Starting to think about where to mount the fans. If I screw into the inside of the external wall will that be strong enough?

I'm sure it will hold the fan, more concerned about when the van is in transit.

What are the walls on a 2016 20.64.1 OB made of anyway?

Any particular screws required or just normal timber screws?

Thanks

Ive got the Caframo Ultimate, bit like the Sirocco without the fan guard. I screwed our front bed fan to the ply bottom of the overhead cabinet which runs across the front of the van over the bed

The second fans in the Cruskets bunk. The Ultimate base slides into a TV bracket mount plate, and we have one one those in the Cruskets bunk, Perfect, the fan slides into the TV mount, snd TV 12v is right next to the mount.

Both fans have survived some serious extended corrugations.

Jayco walls are 4mm ply over polysterene so have minimal screw holding capacity

I just used a box cutter to enlarge a hole for a new vent in my wall, so don't screw into just the ply, thicker cupboard walls way better.
