Hey all,

Newbie here.......so be kind:D

Anyways, thought I'd ask if anyone has had a Kickass Battery system or thought of getting one. We have a 14.44.4 OB and are considering putting the Kickass in the back of the tug and then extend onto the Panda. I had a look at a very informative hour long saga that Kickass produced 12 months ago on youtube. For an electrical nuffie like me, I think this could be a goer.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

BTW- muh name shud be 14' of Joy. Definitely got nothing to brag about.;)

I am going to put one of these into my tug. I like them as it is a one off cost for a dual battery set up. When I up date my tug I can remove it by disconnected the 12v feed from the alternator and install it into the new tug. It is a nice and simple set up with everything at your finger tips. I have bought some of there other products and they are pretty good quality.
Just my 2 cents.

over the years I have had several battery management systems
some off the shelf, some I made with what was laying around

a heck of a lot depends on how much you understand what you want, and what you want to achieve

in my Cruiser I have the Piranha system - as it is fully automatic - set and forget

in my Patrol I have the Redarc system, again set and forget.........

in my old Patrol, I had the ABR Sidewinder system

very good, and a great price............ and great service (no affiliation)

for home made jobbies, I have used a very basic systems, my old FJ55 had a Cole Hersee switch to manage the battery while away camping
very very easy, only 4 settings
Batt1
Batt2
both
off
pretty self explanatory

then I updated to the CH Solenoid, set and forget...........

moral of the story

it can be as complicated or as easy as you want, depending on the room available
