This park caters for around 55 sites, packed a little close together. Well treeds and adjacent to a pleasant swimming beach where the biggest concern were hungry pelicans.
The sites were level and grassed or mulched. Driveways were wide, but some corners were tight.
The proprietors Con and Helen are friendly and helpful (originally from Melbourne, so why wouldn't they be:lol
They arrange the booking of the ferry also ensuring ferry and accommodation coincided without having to to and fro between operators. (also a minor cost saving)
Amenities were a let down. They were too few with waiting in both evening or morning. Cleaned mid arvo, we found them smelly and dirty again by evening. In one instance the missus said there was poo smeared on one cubical wall which was there for a while, and there was almost no toilet paper (however, the owner did say they believed that was because 15 rolls was nicked that day). The cubicals were very small, barely enough room to stand between bowl and door to pull up one's pants. Showers were bad with no change of having them a a constant temperature or pressure at all.
Adjoining neighbours who were on their 3rd or 4th visit said this time they stopped by Western Kangaroo Island park and and will definitely stay there next time instead. (Same number of sites but on three times the area, wild life inc Koalas and better facilities. Much further tho)
No playground, no pool, basic laundry, no shop, can get gas refills tho.
2.5/5
