Hi all I’m new to this forum and just bought my first jayco expanda 2006. My bed end bottom corners need to be repaired or replaced. And I’m unsure how the canvas attaches in this area as it doesn’t look correct. I’ll attach some pictures what it looks like. Thanks

Hey @andy1987. Welcome and congrats on your new Expanda. Aside from the obvious deterioration that all looks pretty standard to me

The bottom is attached by the screwed on metal strip, and the side push into a 'C' chanel. In newer models the sides push into the chanel from the outside (ie i can see the chanel inside the bed). Yours is pushed into the chanel from the outside, the chanel being visiable in your pics.

Jayco obviously decided to reverse the 'C' channel at some point. Depending on how the rain is driving, you can get some water in the hinge channel under the mattress, thats not unusual

Hope this is the info your after

Gday @andy1987 . Mine look exactly the same as yours (2008 model). I thought it was insignificant after we survived a massive downpour, but when we towed in the rain the front mattress got really wet from water getting in those side holes. In ours the previous owner replaced the front rubber seal and added a cover over the hinge in the inside. But from our experience and the old water stains not a successful fix. I'd be keen to know if you can fix it. Are you replacing the rubber seals too? Please let me know if you find any, my back seals are cactus
