We were watching a DVD last night and it was time to send the kids to bed, we have a 18.57-6, three boys all under the age of 10.

We put the boys to bed and wanted to continue watching the DVD. We had the audio routed through the radio and the tv audio was muted.

We had complaints from the young lads the roof speakers closest to the bunks were too loud.

Has anybody installed a swtich next to the roof speaker to isolate if the above situation occurs?

Where would be the best place to install a switch? In the roof next to the speaker or next to the radio interface?

Kind regards...

You should be able to adjust the fader setting within the headunit and fade out the speakers not required.
My radio is wired with 2 speakers internal and 2 speakers external and I can fade out the internal ones when the kids go to bed and still have the audio outside.
I reckon you should be able to do the same thing.
