Hi all
Currently in the throes of designing our new van... very excited!
Have been encouraged by electrical whiz to consider an inverter fridge rather than a compressor or 3way type.
Wondering if anyone knows anything about them or has any experience?
Love to hear your thoughts please!
Walksie :)

Sounds like an awesome idea with one flaw:
H. This Warranty does not cover any Samsung-branded refrigerators which are or have been installed in a movable dwelling such as a caravans (travel trailer) or house boat. These Samsung consumer products are not designed to be used in such moveable dwellings and their performance may be affected in such contexts.

It would be like any household fridge after moving let sit for 24 hrs before using, never followed that rule myself but must be for a reason. I know if my fridge craps out I won't be buying another one at the prices they want.

Years ago when we had a 23ft van as a home we had a full size house fridge in it, bolted down and it seemed to travel okay, gaffer tape to hold the door shut but we were always on 240 as 12v systems were only found in boats and cars back then, hell TV had just found colour.

Thanks everyone for the feedback.
Will ask electrical maestro who recommended it re the specifics in terms of power draw etc, and my understanding is that they're appropriate for caravans, so looking forward to finding out facts in relation to warranty etc.
will post what I find out :)
