Installing new winegard

Has anyone installed the new style wind up winegard antenna on an outback expanda? Is there a certain section or location to do so?

I didn't install mine but Jayco did it and it is the new style. I have a 16.49-3OB and it is installed above my table if that helps?

hey John,
Jayco installed ours on our 17.56-2OB just as you enter the door.

Noticed a few new Expandas at Prestige with the antennas laying back on an angle onto the front of, and sticking up higher than the air conditioner. Could be something to watch In tight spots.

ours is as you walk in the door lays nice and flat on 16.49-1

thanks for the info we have the winegard wind up antenna so hight won't be a problem

I did the retro fit from the old style to the new because my old Winegard antenna had ceased to function. Can't help with location other then to suggest, like Jayco, close to the van entry point and the power supply.

i also did a retro kit (from caravans plus)
mine is a 16.49-1OB and is above the table if that helps

I reckon Jayco put them wherever convenient at the time. I've seen them in a few spots. Mine is directly above as you walk in the door. Not a great spot because you bump your head on it when you have the poptop down. Would have been better above the dinette.
