I won an iDrive battery monitor in a competition (i won an iDrive as well, along with a list of other stuff to). Its been in the car for 4 months now and im pretty impressed with it.

Tiny device connected across the battery which talks via bluetooth to an accompanying phone App, monitoring 24/7. Costs around $50.

Its range is enough for me to get reporting inside the house around 8mtrs away from the car. Functions are voltage, crank voltage recovery, and charging health. One of the functions has 2 x battery voltage % alarms. When the battery reaches your pre-entered % parameters it sends an alarm msg like a txt msg to the phone to warning those discharge parameters has been reached

It all relies on voltage so obviously has limitations, but for a cheap simple set and forget handy helper, i like it

So you won it 8-) Your an RC bugga .

If I won one I would have to sell it as the Jeeperific has a voltmeter along with various other displays of temperature and stuff..... my 2004 Hi lux doesn't though and isn't going to either as I don't care once it starts thats it.....:car:

On my Old Colorado I purchased a board from Jaycar used silastic to stick it in a box and wired it up in the Utes shed to show my Aux Battery volts, cost me $6.95, the little plastic box once housed a little circuit for a light................

I won an iDrive, iDrive monitor, TowPro Elite, $800 worth of snorkling gear, 1st aid kit, selection of Hema maps and books, Stow n Store van step, and some other gear. The bonus with the battery monitor it does its thing whilst the car is parked up, and sends the warnings when your not looking. For $50, it great piece of mind
