Does anyone else have trouble with the hot water heater on 240 volts. Doesn't seem to heat at all even with the switch outside in the heater box switched on. It all seems to work hot as on gas. Should I be running it on has only?

Sounds like either the element, the switch or the thermo switch.
Most times it,s the element from running dry
You really need a sparkie to check it out, and a special thin socket to get the element out.
It will still work fine on gas as it,s a separate system

yeah that stupid switch isn't water proof and it's on a hot water system on the outside of a van ...... go figure.
