Glen davis camp site. Anyone been there?

I spoke to a bloke at Newnes last weekend and he told me about a great campsite at Glen Davis (NSW)
He said that you need to drive through a little bit of private land and accross a cattle grate to get there, but it was a free National park campground (on the river?)

I've googled and found info on free camping IN Glen Davis, but I got the impression he was talking about something out of town.

Has anyone been there and/or know what he was talking about?

The town itself looks very interesting also so any info on it or camping in town would be great too.

I seem to recall @MolongMick putting some pics up from that part of the world??

Yep we got the Discovery touring model in there.

Its only like 10km's or so of dirt nowadays......

And its fairly tame dirt to be honest.

Looks like an awesome site. The crazy old bloke at Newnes said it was better than Newnes and I got the impression that he had got his 50 year old Caravan in there?!

Went for a drive to Cooron...something last weekend, I reckon, just like Newnes but better.

We went to Glen Davis a couple of months ago, and absolutely loved it. Well worth the trip.
