Interior Gas pilot light not staying on.

Well I did run out of gas last night and switched it over to the new one.
I think it is the thermostat as the red needle is not moving at all.
Only other thing is I was stopped for the day at Trial Bay the other day and near breakwall with a northeaster blowing. The side of the van where the fridge vent is basically had a layer of salt on it.
I'm wondering if the jet has got dirty. Might try cleaning it.
I'm now at Broadwater Caravan Park. They had a spare spot for me. Just means I'll have to change sites tomorrow for my 2 week stay.

Got home and had a closer look.
It looked like too much hassle to pull the fridge out from the cabinet.
Using a large screwdriver through the wall vent hole, I tapped on the bits behind the control knobs.
Presto! It now works

Other hassle could be a carbon build up on the thermocouple (near the gas jet in the back). I had the same hassle, repair guy spend 15 minutes to pull out the thermocouple and chip the carbon of. Hey presto it works.
Was still having problems with my fridge. Gave the thermocouple a clean at the jet end and tighten it up where it connects at the top of the fridge.
Now works and the needle is a lot more responsive.
