Ok, so my electrical knowledge needs refreshing from time to time....

A Waeco fridge which is 7.8amps on 12V and 0.46amps on 240V is the same total draw (plus/minus) isn't it?
It would make no difference having a 12>240V converter in place between ciggi plug and fridge - The battery will drain at the same approximate rate (in terms of amp hours)?

On 12v you have 7.8A/H drain. On 240 converted from 12v it is (240/12) X 0.46 = 9.6 A/H drain plus a bit added on for losses in the inverter.
