Hello,

Now that we have a diesel heater installed in our Jayco Starcraft 17.58-3 OB, we are planning to try free camping in either of the above free camp grounds in Kosciusko National Park during the upcoming winter school holidays.

2 years ago, we stayed in the "Adventist Alpine Village" which was ok, but the 2 free camping locations are quite close to thredbo and free, so want to try it this year.

I am concerned that it will be packed out that there will be no where to park our caravan.

Also not sure if it also gets quite windy there too.

We are planning on arriving about 2pm on the 11th of July.

Has anyone stayed there before in the winter school holidays and can provide feedback.

Also wondering about the chances of little sunlight/UV to put some sort of charge back into the batteries. 5 or 10ah per day back into the battery should see us through for 4 nights.

You might get more response from ski.com.au.
We’ve only stayed in Jindabyne but did take a drive around the campsite last year. Was out with the local school holiday so not too busy.
