I have a 2014 Jayco 13.42.1 OB
The rangehood has 2 small LED globes .
I have replaced 4 globes since new due to rapid flashing then burnout.
Jayco dealer gave me two

replacements which are also gone out after rapid flashing.
I cannot find anybody who sells this very small globe as I want to try better quality ones.
Does anybody have this bad issue and does anybody know where I might buy better quality globes please.
At present we have no rangehood lights and cook is unhappy as we are on hols. in Qld.
I look forward to a response please

I don't know what globes they are but I would suggest removing one and going to Supercheap or Jaycar and finding a comparable one.

Where in God's own country are you holidaying?

can you post a picture of the globe. On my 2011 14.44 the range hood uses two mr11 globes but some of the other models had an mr16 bulb instead. Not sure what the 2014 models have but see if they look like these below.

Hi boots33
Upon looking at globe and your drawings I now see MR11 printed on it's side.
Have you had trouble with these flickering rapidly and burning out.
Do you know if I can buy better quality replacements than what Jayco supplied to
me ?
I am holidaying in Maroochydore Qld.
has rained and is still raining every day we have been here.
should have stayed home in sunny Melbourne.
looking forward to your reply and thanks for drawings of my globe.

I fitted mr11 leds to my rangehood a couple of years ago and have had no problems with them at all. I got mine on ebay direct from china so were very cheap but have lasted well and are still going strong.

If you need them in a hurry as chartrock has suggested you can get them from Jaycar and they have a store in Maroochydore. Of course you will pay a premium buying from local suppliers. As to the quality that i don't know, I will say that in the past i have bought many items from Jaycar and have usually had no problems .

It is unusual that you have had all 4 bulbs go faulty in such a short time..... could just be a faulty batch or you may have a problem elsewhere in your electrical system. When the bulbs start flickering do they both flicker at the same time/rate. if so you may have a loose connection or faulty switch in the range hood perhaps.

Well as the van was built March 2014.
The first two were in the brand new van.
the next two were given to me by a dealer a couple of weeks after.
The van is still in warranty but resupplying crap globes means removing rangehood completely.
repeated removal will soon cause screws and cabinet material to weaken.
Why globes are not easily changed is beyond me.
I need globes which give good service.
Of course I will take this all up with selling dealer but they will do nothing when we are some 2000 klms from them.
I am also disappointed that there is no dealer any closer than Brisbane.
already one screw has worn out by repeatedly unscrewing and screwing back.
I will visit Jaycar soon and take a burned out globe to show them.
Thanks for all replies.

If you are staying at Cotton Tree caravan park in Maroochydore, There is a Jaycar store on Aerodrome road (next to Aldi) not far from the park and they should have what you are after.
And sorry but the forecast is for more rain.
Cheers

LEDs don't tend to burn out unless there is a power spike or something similar, I would be more concerned with a wiring issue or a problem with your 12V supply. Unless of course there is moisture getting onto the circuit board.

Ok guys, Finally got to Jaycar today and purchased 2 new LED globes.
cost about $12.95 each.
removed rangehood yet again for the millionth time and installed.
First thing I did was back away and found sunglasses.
These globes would light up a runway.
The LEDs sit proud of the main part and there is no glass covering like the crap Jayco supplied.
Now after 3 hrs they are still running with no flickering.
Unbelievable difference.
ok I know van is new but original globes are crap in comparison.
Just hope they last or I will be knocking on Jaycars door.

Many thanks to the members that suggested Jaycar.
lights still working unlike the absolute rubbish which came with the rangehood and subsequently given to me as replacements by Jayco dealer.
Jayco need to wake up and supply quality products.
