Well the time has come to sell our wonderful van which is compact on the outside yet spacious on the inside. This van weighing around 1600kg fully loaded makes towing effortless and suitable for towing by the mid size SUV like RAV4 but ideal behind a Prado or MUX. This van is set up for off grid camping with features includin:

* Enerdrive 40amp DC2DC 12volt charger
* Enerdrive 40amp AC charger
* 2 x 160w solar panel
* 2 x 140 amp AGM batteries
* Anderson plug for charging from car
* Anderson plug for additional remote solar blanket/panel
* 110 litre Dometic compressor fridge
* Camec instantaneous fridge
* external shower
* external shower tent
* inside toilet ( can be easily moved to shower tent if preferred )
* 2 lounges
* Queen bed
* wardrobe shelving and included storage crates
* TV and aerial
* external swing out table for the BBQ (Webber)
probably other stuff that has been missed

Van has a max weight when loaded of 1600kg and ball weigh of around 130 -150kg
Has new springs, shocks and Toyo AT2 tyres.

Thanks @Boots in Action for the kind comments, it is a great van and served us well. I probably spent $5k upgrading the van with the power and fridge etc. I would love to keep it, storing it away in a shed for later use when we finish extended travelling but the Minister for Fun and Finance has past a ruling that it has to go to a new owner.

Our travelling days are not over yet and instead we are planning dipping the toe into early retirement and undertake some extended travelling next year and so have purchased a Lotus OffGrid 15’6” van better suited to extended travel plus a new Landcruiser tow tug, hence the Prado is for sale also.

Out with the old in with the new

Well I’m not sure whether this is the time that I need to resign from Expandasdownunder or I get expelled as a member After 10 or so years of owning our baby 12 ft Expanda outback and before that 2 other Jayco wind up campers, we have got a new ( to us) van that is not a Jayco. After looking...

Very happy for you @rags . They got a good deal with all the electrical extras. Hope they appreciate and understand how well set up the van is. Both parties are winners in this case. Some are luckier than others. Shame after all that work and organised setup that you put into van will be some one else's benefit. Look forward to hearing from you again on this forum when you get another van and its own challenges.

Thanks @Boots in Action, It was a younger couple who picked it up and we’re aware of the bonuses this van had.
We are happy as they will,likely use the van for the intended use. Also we are happy that after 10 years of ownership we sold for a $2grand profit over what we paid less the outgoing cost to set it up which was probably around $5k.

Now time to enjoy our time travelling with the Lotus Offgrid 15’6”
