Hi all, any help here would be great?
Our foldup canvas support arm attachment point (rivet) on the fold down bar on bed end has broken. Is it just a stainless pop rivet or something else?
I searched the forums and can't find anything on it.
8 & 1/2 months into lap and this is item number 70 of thing to fix on ute, van or gear, that wasn't in the fine print!

Im going to guess your talking about the plastic locator that the end of where the "hockey stick" attaches to keep the tent taut. I would think alum, i cant see Jayco using S/S

Sorry guys, should have posted the photo first up, they're always worth a 1,000 words. We have the swing up ones in the 09/10 range. The two photos ought to describe it better than i can.

My guess is it's an ally pop rivot?

Now I'm with you, yep a rivet as I replaced one, stainless steel washers between the moving bits and a big long rivet with a big head, was gong to fit a S/S bolt with nylock nut but for some reason didn't, possibly the ones I had were too short and it was a 60km round trip to Bunnings.

Thanks for that. Good idea on bolt.

I think i'll go with convenience and do a rivot as well. Although going to be fun to drill out old one without removing canvas.....

It wasn't too hard to remove the canvas on my 2008. About 5 mins with a batter drill to remove the screws and from memory it was held together by double sided tape from there.

I think I removed the frame, just not sure.
My son in Canberra told me last night no need to go to the snow as its coming to him.....We are regular August fools for visiting ACT, thank god not this year.
