After escaping Airlie Beach we headed out here.

This park is very tidy and well appointed. This is not really a destination to head too but its a great spot if you are headed out west to stop for a few days to clean and restock.
Cost;
For the 5 of us with a powered drive through was about $47 per night with a $10 key bond for the amenities.

The drive through sites are level and well set out with a slab that has built in hooks to attach tie downs too. (Notice the net for Golf Balls to prevent van damage over the nose of the Prado) you are literally on one of the greens......

Slabs are offset so your neighbour basically opens onto your car for privacy. (Golf Course can be seen to the right)

The amenities are clean and a little unique.

What I mean is that each functions as a type of mini ensuite with both toilet and shower fitted. There are separate men's and women's toilets but we found the setup fantastic as you could take them all in toilet teeth and shower them with plenty of room and time. The water is hot on demand and as stated the amenities are spotless.

The park is literally sitting on a golf course with the clubhouse a short walk and, even better for the kids, a fantastically set up town pool with a HUGE spa small kids splash pool 25m covered pool and 50m full pool.

there is a separate area that does swim schools and a kids water obstacle course. Entry $4 adults & $3 children and I must say was a highlight.

Overall Emerald Cabin & Caravan is a great spot, not for a holiday, but to clean some gear, have a rest, and relax on a western Queensland run.
