Hi all, I am looking at getting a DS custom toolbox for my drawbar for my 17 foot outback expanda. It has the standard length drawbar. I am looking at a box 2.2 L x 550 d x 525 h as at 550 h it would hit the bed. gas bottles in the centre weber and geni either side. Better ask if they can make an odd size. I found most of these box companies can only offer certain sizes. I think their material comes pre cut, probably from overseas. It’s as thin as alfoil too so ask all these questions. I got my camper box made locally, 3.0mm chequer plate and fully welded. Cost $1200 compared to a few hundred from Bunnings! Still leaks in dust of course ,
Good looking box it would be good to slide my bbq in one end if it would fit what size is it please the box size is it a full size inside looks like theres somthing in the middle this is my next big task for the van but i must be able to get bbq in one end mite need to get a custom made box if they made me one can easy send it down here
But will ring DS custom boxes see what they say as in price

Hey - my toolbox was 2200mm long x 470mm high and 550mm wide - KT's Welding and Fabrication built mine (Paid $1,850.00 - inc powder coating)
We had a 2015 18.58-2 Expander - 470mm was the maximum height I could go with out the front boot fouling on the box.
Weber Baby Q fitted perfectly, even with slide out draw, which you lose another 20mm of internal height
there is only a divider in the middle to separate the BBQ from the lose items (hoses, chocks and so) - that little tray you see in the photos was removable, I had it put in there for all those little nick that type of things
