displaying unread messages

Hi
When logging in the threads with updated posts are displayed in bold print. Once read they revert back to std.

However, if I leave the forum open for too long - phone rings and I answer it, or even typing a longish post - or if I open the forum read a message or two and close it again with reading all post, all the bold entries revert back to std as though they are read.

(so after getting back from travels on Sunday, I read three or four posts and left the others to read later. Now they are all displayed as read)

is there a timer set in the forum or on my pc or something which can be altered so they stay unread until they are actually read?

Changed some settings and you should only have threads marked once you actually read them.

Hey SD do you use the New Posts function in the header? Its very helpful too

Its been a week - works a treat now, thanks.

I have used 'new post' tab, but not very often. I prefer going into the groupings first, reading the ones of primary interest first and then going back to the others later in the session, later in the day or following day. Just my way....
