The rear bumper bar and the 2 legs that are connected to the chassis on my expanda look similar to yours if not slightly heavier steel on mine.
i have been told that the factory bar on my 18.1 (2016) is not strong enough to carry a towball hitch / bike rack and will experience a severe bounce.
I have been advised that I need to reinforce the rear bar. I would be interested in your thoughts.

that is / was the same as mine @Lozza T
when I put my wheel on the back bumper, I also put small "triangle" pieces on the top and bottom of the bar, where it meets the 2 chassis legs
I also put in a 3rd bolt right at the back of the chassis leg (closer to axle)

I'd drill a third hole further up the chassis for another bolt and put some crush tubes in the bar inside so it can be done up nice and tight without crushing your chassis. The bar needs to be held by friction between the two surfaces.
Not sure what thickness your bar is, might need to replace it with something heavier gauge if it's too light weight. Twisting of the bumper might cause some bounce too.

Been doing a few things on the panda lately, so i thought I'd share some pics.
Firstly this, which i consider essential on any van with one of these fold up sinks:
It's just a bit of duct tape to create a flap and a dam to stop water dribbling out. I tried sticking bits of plastic on but they kept coming off... a piece of gaffer tape folded in half has proved the most durable and effective solution so far.

Recently I finished installing an ebay diesel heater under the dinette seat:
The warm air outlet is at the back of the seat:
Controller mounted next to other switches and guages on the end of the seat:
This is what it looks like underneath:
The kit didn't come with an exhaust silencer but I've ordered one on eBay. To be fitted soon.
Fuel pump fitted to chassis up front near the fuel tank:
The fuel tank is temporarily mounted where the spare was. Still haven't got around to fitting a box. It'll get bolted to the box eventually.
