Here's my version of a bed converter which I made up to sleep our 10 month old baby. Didn't really want to add rails for the table to sit on as the table has a rubber trim around the edge which overhangs.
These legs are 300mm high which I got on ebay for around $40 . they can be unscrewed to return table to original height also table can also be taken out to use as coffee table. :)

table legs are a good idea.. factory our dinette table is too big to fit between chairs. so they cut a piece of laminated wood has no legs under just sits on a lip they ran along the underside. I only set it up twice no one slept on it yet.
