Picked up the 2016 17.55 Journey Outback poptop,Saturday.Del by owners to Chinderah NSW.Checked breakaway battery when home ,no charge and old.These are charged separately by vehicle.I do not want to leave 240 v on continuosly.Anybody made up a trickle solar charger for the breakaway battery that can be plugged into caravan plug as per vehicle plug.If so did it work ?

Mine played up and went flat so I charged battery up on bench and while checking things discovered a live feed from van which had a relay thingy which I have forgotten what it was, anyway I refitted it with a switch which I can leave on when parked up and it charges the battery, turn it off when hooked up as I haven't been able to find where it hooks up to the tugs power which is not a biggy anyway............... it works now doesn't go flat so I'm happy.
