Well, the van has arrived at the dealer. I had a quick look at it today - happy with what I saw. Looking forward to picking it up in a week or so. First trip being planned now...

When I look at the front of a single bed van, I cant get past the resemblance to a Thomas the Tank Engine character holding it's breath.

Very nice (and roomy) for 2 .... and leather. Jayco to their credit use a very reputable leather trimmer, unfortunately for us much better than the cloth timmer

Matt and Paul - first trip will be a short one in a couple of weeks probably - Rainbow Flat for granddaughter's first birthday party, then to the west of NSW again. Milparinka and parts around there. Anne has reasons for going there again.
Hopefully north will happen next year and south too.
Still have to finish the granny flat. The end is approaching however.

It is actually leatherette, rather than leather - it comes as a freebie when you order the fibreglass sides - the TL package.
Perhaps I should paint eyes on the front windows!

Looks great. I must admit I prefer cloth type seating as I find Leather and Leatherette make me sweat !
I never liked leather, in fact I would not buy a car with leather. I've been happy with cloth in our previous vans, and was equally happy with the cloth in the current van, but after living in the current van for a year Ive completely swung full circle, and Im all over that leather now; so much so that Ive approached the Jayco leather upholstery supplier to redo our van in wonderful leather.

Now that we have leather I wouldn’t go back to cloth I just find it better

Well - went to pick up the van today - all went well till van connected to Jeep - ESC lights showed red, i.e not working...
SO - no van - ESC on vanside deemed to be faulty - why was this not picked up at predelivery? Unit has to be sent to ALKO then returned and fitted to van. Jayco Sydney will then deliver to our home. Disappointed to say the least as we were supposed to be going away this coming weekend for about two weeks...
Such is life...

Theres another current thread with a dodgy fridge in a new van from Sydney Jayco, and not too much empathy from the dealer.
