We stayed at the Beacon Resort in Queenscliff for three nights last weekend and the park was well kept and enjoyed by the whole family.

The site
We stayed in one of their powered ensuite sites (of which there are only two) and although the ensuite was relatively small it was neat, clean and had a great shower (which didn't resemble an old telephone booth where you hit your elbows whenever you turned around).
The site was nice and level and had a concrete slab for an annex, along with paving in front of the ensuite. The parking area in front of the site (for the tow vehicle) was covered with fake grass that resembled carpet - but meant there was no mud to take into your van/annex. Regulars to the site had pre-drilled holes into the paving to put annex pegs into, which we used and although they weren't in the exact spot we needed, did the job OK.

There were a number of large trees surrounding the area which provided great shade, but they did drop alot of small leaves which meant when packing up a broom was required to sweep down the roll-out awning and bed ends.
The tree above us was also home to a magpie nest - which on the 1st night kept us awake with the mating calls of the magpie, but wasn't so bad the other two nights.

The Facilities
We didn't have the need to use the communal showers/toilets so cannot comment on these, but they did have a room with a bath which would be handy for those with babies or young children.

For the kids (and kids at heart), the park also has:
- jumping pillow (which was a big hit with our kids)
- indoor heated swimming pool and spa (the pool incorporates both a toddlers section and the larger pool, which from memory was about 1.4m deep)
- play area with slides and climbing jims
- games room with table tennis, billiard table and a few games machines
- full size tennis court (with free racket and ball hire)
- two-person tricycles (hire was $10/hr) to ride around the park
- bike hire (to use in or out of the park - not sure of cost)

Upon arrival we were escorted to our site and they made sure we were happy with the van alignment etc before they left us to setup.
Staff were very helpful and were happy for us to delay our departure as there were no bookings for our site on the day of our departure so we left around 1pm - which was great.

Overall, we were very happy with the park and asit is relatively local to us, I look forward to when we stay there again.

If anyone has any questions I will try and answer them for you.
