Located in Cooktown Far north Queensland, the Big 4 Cooktown Holiday Park offers travellers a great rest stop, particularly in our case after two weeks on the dusty roads of Cape York. The park offers large, shady grassed sites, ensuites, pool, camp kitchen and car/van washing facilities (yes we put them to good use).
Cooktown is a historic small town which only received sealed access in 2006. The town Offers the usual services and has magnificent natural scenery surrounding it. I was told the fishing is great, however, I lucked out again.
