Hi guys

We have a 2015 Jayco Expanda Outback with a slide out club lounge/table which is fantastic as it provides us with so much more room inside when it's out however someone had a mishap and left the table in the down position when bringing the slide in...and now we have a portable table  It was only mounted to the floor with tec screws so didn't take much force from the slide to rip it off the floor. Looking at options to re-mount it a little more secure than last time, wondering if anyone else has done this and what was most succcessful?
Thinking about putting it over a pit and dropping the second water tank (it's mounted right beneath the table) then drilling holes through the floor and putting bolts and lock nuts through from the underneath up through the table mount inside (if that makes sense).

Happy to hear anyone's thoughts, ideas and experiences.

Cheers

Welcome to the forum. I am not fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to have your upmarket piece of kit in your van. The fact that you only ripped out the tech screws from the floor mountings for the table is only your good luck. Yes, fixing the table with bolts and lock nuts through the floor will certainly make the table more secure. But think of what would have happened if the table was left up and you retracted the slide after using bolts and nuts through the floor. Do I hear the sound of splintering wood or see smoke coming out of the retractor motor?? Looks like a trap for the unwary and accidents DO happen. I would be looking at making it a foolproof system (idiot proof) preventing such a calamity happening in the future BEFORE making any strengthening of table mounts. Good luck!
