Hi

Long time reader, first post.

we recently got a 2015 17.56.2 OB and i'm cleaning up the 12v wire mess.

The fridge on 12v doesn't seem to work?? See photo anywhere on the terminals marked I cant get any Volts at all??

Tried running fridge on 12v for a day, got it cold with 240v then switched to 12v over 24hrs it got warmer and didn't drain battery at all??

Cheers

The 12 V is not (usually) connected to the house battery, it is wired to run from the tug's supply. If you connected the fridge to a 12 V battery the battery would be flat in about 2-3 hours. Also the 12 V when hooked to a running motor vehicle, it will not really cool the fridge, only hold it at about the same temperature. You will have to set up a supply from your car to supply the 12 V either through a 12 pin plug or an anderson plug.

Just ask away if you need more info and welcome to the forum.

You will also have the same issue of accelerated battery use on your car with the fridge on 12V when you pull up for lunch or a bit of sight seeing and risk not being able to start your car. Consider a VSR, fridge switch or similar.

If you don't have a manual for the fridge you can download one from the Dometic web site.........12v only runs from the tug and only when engine is running as it will flatten your battery in an hour.
Search around on here as this subject has some very informative threads already.
