We are free camping and friends 16.49 expanda (their frost time) 12 volt system turns off, so all lights go out and then minutes later it comes back on for 10 minutes before going off again and so on!

The standard fit coast to coast battery monitor says it's fully charged?
Possibly worth checking with a meter at some point, but assuming its accurate swap out the fuses. Possibly an over heating issue. Dodgy fuses can warm up and cool down, affecting connection

You can have all the new fangled, enviro friendly gizmos going around, but you cant beat the old generator to solve your power woes. Shhhhh, some folk see them as the devil incarnated.

Is the gauge the one that just has a series of LEDs to indicate the state of charge?

Yes the one that’s the standard fit only gives full 2/3 1/3 and empty for battery and front and back tanks with the water pump switch underneath
