12 pin plugs

Hi guys,

I am picking up my new 1649.2OB tomorrow which is coming with a 12pin plug. I currently have a flat 7 pin for my swan, is there an adaptor available or do I have to get the car wiring changed by an auto elec at the hand over time?

Has anyone else had to encounter this?

Our dealer sorted ours on the day no problem at all and no charge either!!

Page Bros offer a service where the auto elec fits the 12 pin for $140 during handover (they need prior notice). We ended up buying a 12 pin for $20 and changing over the 7 leads myself. I am now going to run the fridge wires from battery in next couple of weeks and fitting a relay (with some help from people who know) and save some cash.

I also got quotes from other auto elecs, seemed to be around the $150 mark.

Get a good auto electrician to do it - a job done properly in the first place is usually cheaper in the long run!:thumb:

We picked up our new Expanda on Saturday from Watsons Coffs Harbour. I had previsouly asked for a 7 pin plug instead of the 12 pin and they simply fitted an adaptor. This leaves us with the choice of 7 or 12 pin plugs depending on the tow vehicle wiring.
