The Troopy is packed, fuelled up and frothing at the bridle. The gate opens Monday and Ill be on the road first thing galloping north before they change their pea-sized minds. Ill pack a rod, some nets and a positive attitude, but I'm confident it will be a nil-all draw ... but that will not dampen the enthusiasm of being on the road

19th is when I can rock and roll, then depending what the Queen of QLD pronounces this arvo or tomorrow its either a run for the border or fishing in the Balonne...... unless I get told to stay at home by higher authority...certainly won't be heading for my fav camp at Bingara, it will be full of Victorian waiting, stay away from Texas it will be the same as they try to tunnel under the river.

You're on @Drover, the starters gun goes off for you tomorrow. The entire eastern seaboard is yours for the taking, and because your a Qld'er you can head back nth whenever you like. The Queen is under enormous pressure to stop jerking around now, so i suspect the border gates will soon be open to everyone.

I just read the news yeah yeah bit slow but there’s no mention of caravan parks being opened?

Check the good word https://www.expandasdownunder.com/t...trictions-queensland.12285/page-4#post-202873

On the 19th we don't have any more medical stuff to do so can hook up and go...................... the rush should be clear by then anyway.........

(a bit slow posting it up as I have stripped my brush cutter down, repaired the clutch and its up and running again, a great victory for sure, first strip down oin 12 years so going good)

Extra PS, first weekend away will be spent at my daughters it seems, love my kids but there's fish out there that need feeding.................. Mrs D has said we will wait till Oct for our Canberra visit, I bet that will change once we are on the road, I will pack my snow boots just in case.

There are quite a few crossing points that aren't just blocked, open to head south just not if going north. Tweed, Wallangarra, Texas, Gundy, Hebel and others.

@Drover and @BJM , there never was any problem in going across the QLD/NSW border from Qld. The problem was getting back into Queensland after being around all those Mexicans. You needed to have a permit before you left the state and also had not been into any of the so called "hot spots" in those states. If not, then you were faced with a two week quarantine when back in Queensland. But then, what Queenslander would want to tour into Covid-19 land when our weather here is so great??

As a politician, it's always a good indicator of how much you stink when the coppers start questioning you in the public arena.

Looks like it won't be long and the hordes of Mexicans will be attacking.

Ease up, us Mexicans are a bloody long way from the QLD/NSW border. We're happy to poison you, but you need to navigate across the DMZ first

(Cross the NSW border legally, and then require a permit to return to your own home .... ha, and I thought we were the Lemmings)

The hot spots were only in Sydney and Melbourne, now last I looked just in Melb...who would genuinely want to go to either anyway....
Youll have more chance of winning tattslotto 6 x weeks in row, than even finding out where our active Covid 19 case physically are. You would, on average, have to cuddle and lick the foreheads of 84,001 Victorians just to find one with Covid 19. Working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week and signing $100 cheques for everyone that turns up, you'd have to sit still at the cheque signing desk for over 6 months and fork out $8.4mill before that one Covid 19 candidate arrived .... and dont forget you still have to lick them all to catch it. Plus it winter here, so no-one is outside anyway. I think youll be ok down here

I would only have to stick my nose over the border to find that many Victorians, they are massing at the gates Ive been told.........

Latest spots that QLD declares a Hot Spot, mind you the latest date is 14May......

From 12.01 am on Thursday 14 May 2020 the following Local Government Areas are COVID-19 hotspots:
State or Territory Local Government Area Victoria: Wyndham City, Moorabool Shire, Melton City

Queen Anna wont open them for at least a month now, she has let the voters ( and really they are the ones that matter) free to roam Gods Country or cross over to the badlands....but those dastardly Territorians or Crow Eaters are keeping the bridge raised. I wonder if one could sneak along the track the pub shoukd be open now.
