17' Series Pressure limiting valve - water pressure issues

Often a simple disassembly will fix the problem for a while but first check the hidden non return valve in the plastic hose connection box (assuming pressure is poor when the hose is connected and is ok when the pump is on)
To increase the PRV pressure you can stretch the spring or find a washer that fits under the spring. I found some in my selection of engine oil drain plug washers so I stuck a couple inn there.
Some just replace the PRV with a higher pressure one

Make sure the direction of the arrow on the pressure reg is pointing in the correct direction to start with,ie direction of water flow plus the spring reg screwed into th correct end. If valve on wrong end it will severly restrict water output seen both on incorrectly fitted on the same unit.Common Jayco fault.If still not working may need a new prv

Also, Shower heads are fitted now with Water Saver fittings, all they are is a plastic button with holes which restricts flow , great theory if you have fire mains water pressure but in a van all they do is reduce poor pressure even more, I pull the things out, you will find it fitted at the end of the shower head where the hose connects or where the hose connects to the wall outlet, just flick it out with a small screw driver, I have done the same with the ones in my house as we don't have great pressure, you will like the improvement, they can also act as a screen for small bits of stuff and block up, you may have to replace with a rubber washer if it doesn't seal but not usually.

...................with the PLV I just pulled the moving bits out and threw them in the bin and put the valve back on, have neverhad any drama since.....if pressure too high the hose fittings will pop off on the hose anyway and the Guest water lines and fittings are rated for 150psi so should only pop off if fitted wrong.

Thats it in your pic, ditch it and go to Bunnings and buy a branded version for around $60-$70. They look identical and are the same dimensions but the Jayco ones are pure rubbish

Reuse the end fittings, and if you arent sure how to disconnect the plastic pipes just sing out and we'll get some pics and hints. Very easy job

i agree. The Jayco one is rubbish and will cease on you at some point. Bunnings sell with 300 (which is equivalent to the Jayco on) or 500 kpa ones. I replaced with 300 and pressure is more than what the Jayco put out.

I replaced mine with a 500 kpa from Bunnings - works well !!

If you replace your 350 kpa with a 500Kpa, be warned, you usually only get 1 1/2 showers before water goes cold. If you dont have a shower it doesn't matter. The last one I replaced I went the local plumbing store and they had a adjustable one. 350, 500, & 750kpa. Only cost $35.

Thats caused not by the PLV but by the FCV, if its not set correctly the 20lts of hot water is exhausted quickly.....It always pays to have the FCV set .
