Hope our friends up north are safe. No one off to the land of OZ in a Tornado..
Storms look crap up there hope vans under cover with the hail..

Tin Can Bay and Cooloola looked like it had snowed and pruned the tree's, storm covered a lot of ground and we never get hail, some damage around the place including our supermarket................... Big Mal copped broken vents and now has a bumpy roof, great incentive for finishing the shed awning....we took cover in Gympie 50kms away then chased the storm to home so Ute has a few dents as well, when it eventually stops raining get a chance for a good check.......Hope the poor campers at Innskip Point missed it but somehow I don't think so.

Geez @Drover I didnt realise Tin Can copped it, we had a really nice light show and some jump out of the chair drumming but not a lot of rain, day before we had 30mm and the day before that 28mm which was lovely, apparently we might get some more today, 100mm possible for tomorrow finishing off with 25mm on Sunday, finally my grass will get green I hope!!

For a place that doesnt get hail, played catch up big time yesterday, panel beaters, builders and van repairers will have a good flow of jobs for awhile, Woolworths had water coming in the roof be interesting to see what else has happened....I'm filling out the Insurance stuff for Big Mal and the Colorado, van for vents and Ute for smoothing out the dimples.................30mm from the hail and then 20mm overnight and it's still drizzling, time to sharpen the blades, load up the brush cutter and prime the blower when it finally dries out.

Sorry to hear that you suffered some damage to your tug and "Big MAL", but also glad that it is not as bad as some. Also that you and Mrs D did not suffer any injuries. Could have been a lot worse. Hopefully "Big Mal's" now corrugated roof does not lead to any leaks and especially around the new vents when they are replaced. All this work may result in restricting your future travel plans for a while while repairs are done and shed is completed. Were you insured for the van and the tug? Best and sympathetic wishes too.

Taa, fully insured, if it would stop bluddy raining I could get a decent look at the roof when I got the chance between showers yesterday arvo I dried the vents and patched them, roof only has light pockmarks like the ute so see if insurance will replace roof. Will take ages probably, quick replacement of vents is most important, no leaks now thankfully.
Tin Can missed the hail just copped the wind, Cooloola not so lucky but still luckier other places.

Well Good Morning one and all......................................Colorado goes in next month to get de dented and Big Mal sometime in the next few months, will hopefully be looking very flash with new hatches, new roof, front and new side wall and some other fittings, not to mention new decals, that is unless the bill comes to around $35K and they pay it out, then their might be some problems................................

The TARDIS took on hail storms and came out pretty good, grain trucks were another thing but it keep going, says a lot for fibreglass vans when only the plastic bits broke, fresh Gaffa tape on roof vents a squirt of silastic and Big Mal could head off..................................do wish I had kept the Tardis for those little runs though...

Left phone at home when I went to get the Sunday Paper, saw an old Patrol in the carpark looking pretty schmick as Patrols do, on the top of the windscreen was a sticker " No Airbags We Die Like Real Men " , had a good chuckle and wished I had my phone, a pic would have put a smile on the train commuters in the morning......

Big Mal gets picked up on Monday to get some new skin after the hail storm, of course with Coromal being bought by this mob in QLD and moving the whole shebang over to Brisvegas way, the rumours of panel shortages and other stuff is not a myth, it seems panels may be in short supply or just not available for a long time if at all, great stuff, luckily the mob doing Big Mal is pretty sure they have enough to cover it, if not I will request that I don't mind if they reskin it in the same panels that Supreme Vans have, it's a nice solid panel which I think is way better the the original, get generic strips fitted and Big Mal could be a mystery rig..............................either way I don't think Mal will be making an appearance until late Jan at least, also The Ute goes in to get the dents taken out the next day but will only be away for a week........................................I suppose its not a bad time of year for this sort of stuff, too bluddy hot to go anywhere and here at Tin can Bay it's only a short walk to the water...........................................

Read this today, I will have to go and close the gates to QLD, we certainly don't want that up here, in fact maybe we should dig the Murray a bit deeper to form a large moat and burn the bridges.

Phew ... we're just on the other side of the Bayside map boundary so all good here. Strict Victoria Health Dept protocols forbid diseases from crossing over council boundaries. Part of the local council dog catchers role is to patrol the boundary on foot with a can of Mortein

Yes there are buildings going up everywhere around here at the moment. It is really crazy. Not sure when it will end, if it ever does.

We are heading straight to QLD this year, without the van as it is my brothers 60th birthday just before the New year. Will stay with them before our normal stop at Kirra Beach on the way home.

If I had my way, i would be packing the van today and heading off, maybe never to return! I can only dream!
