August 11, lots of sleepless nights until then, you'll be buggered by pick up date......but then it's all worth it, sounds like a great van!

Bummer! Jayco are registering mine before pick up so hopefully if its a problem it will be theirs. All the new 1756 2 outbacks are over 2500 kg... Are they fitting these chains to them all??

I ended up Getting it from Jayco Griffith and driving it back to WA . It was a lot cheaper. A lot has to do with freight about $3500 so I chose to put that money into a holiday rather than straight to a freight company. I drove from Perth to Griffith 3 days exactly with the dog and bedding pots pans all the don't be rude the wife could throw at me for the van :) geni swag as well then I camped across the road in Griffith in the van park for a couple of days to check it all out and get some work done to the car. Flew the girls to Adelaide (4 of) and then we came home via Eye peninsular well some of it for the school hols just gone got home on Sat.
With 3 grand still in my pocket better off.
I got TV aerial, stereo, with outdoor speakers as well, Outdoor shower, 3rd water tank, Full cover, all thrown in or included ( this was 4.5g cheaper than WA starting price) I paid for the drifter panel. Managed to pick up a sweet deal on a kogan 24" 12v led tv for 175 bucks online.

BJ I got an interim license for 28 days to tow home as NSW couldn't register it for WA, in Hindsight I would have been better off registering it in NSW for 12 months then just transferring it. But who would've thought about the chain? the next size chain up is huge and the welds and grinding wont be hot dipped gal its not to much of an issue as I want to extend the drawbar anyway. Two things I would've got if ordering was the longer drawbar and oven but this came up and I didn't have to wait 3 months. many mods to come and I have to sort out the wiring underneath as scrappy and not protected from rocks or anything. I am seriously thinking when Im done painting the whole underside with rubber paint as I had this on the front of my camper and it held up perfect on the trip around oz and did not have chip in it where the hammertone was trashed. Also noticed already the gal where it has been hit by rocks it has been chipped so for me this is necessary. will also rip the front stickers off and paint the front part with white and possibly the black as well as its stone proofed but not the soft stuff and it is hard and showing marks from the one trip. I need rock tamers as well for this van so have got lots to do.

Sounds good. I got mine from a dealer in Adelaide. Not sure of the going prices that others are paying for these vans but there is definitely a big mark up on them as my dealer took quite a bit of money off the asking price and also threw in the extras. 3500 for travel is definitely a good saving.
